On 2-6 June, 2025, a representative of the Police Academy in Szczytno, 2nd Lieutenant Dawid Żak, conducted classes at the Police Academy in Zagreb (Croatia) as part of the Erasmus+ mobility program. The subject of the training was providing medical assistance in the case of massive limb hemorrhage using a tourniquet.

As part of the Erasmus+ program, 2nd Lieutenant Dawid Żak, an instructor at the Department of Physical Education of the Institute of Policing, Faculty of Security and Legal Sciences at the Police Academy in Szczytno, led classes focused on the issue of massive hemorrhage resulting from various dangerous incidents encountered in service. He presented techniques for controlling such bleeding using a tourniquet.

Furthermore, our instructor took part in classes on tactics and techniques intervention, as well as firearms training.

The exchange of experience among educators enables the adoption of new technologies in teaching and the continuous improvement of procedures. This undoubtedly contributes to the development of instructors’ competencies and, consequently, to enhancing the professional training process for police officers.

Our faculty members are consistently involved in Erasmus+ mobility, sharing their valuable expertise with police services from other countries. This is a highly significant aspect not only in fostering positive international cooperation but also in the professionalization of our formation’s activities.
