The exchange of Erasmus+ scholarship holders between the Police Academy in Szczytno and European universities with a similar educational profile remains active. From 30 June to 4 July, 2025, our Academy hosted a lecturer from the Ioan Cuza Police Academy in Bucharest, dr. Emil Răzvan Gâtej, who specializes in psychology and social communication.
The guest was welcomed by the authorities of the Faculty of Security and Legal Sciences: Lt. Col. Dr. Agnieszka Sadło-Nowak, Capt. Dr. Łukasz Kacprowicz, and 2nd Lt. Dr. Grzegorz Bąk. Ms. Anna Ćwiklińska, the Erasmus+ program coordinator at the Academy, also attended the meeting.
The Romanian scholarship holder conducted 10 hours of classes with Academy students in the field of applied psychology. During his visit, he was shown selected facilities of the Academy, including the shooting range, the laboratories of the Police Analytical and Research Center, the memorial room, and the library.
Dr. Emil Răzvan Gâtej also held meetings with the team of psychologists from the Institute of Social Sciences at the Faculty, as well as with representatives of the Institute for Research Coordination. These meetings focused on the wide range of cooperation opportunities in the areas of research, publication and the organization of joint initiatives related to education and psychological support for police officers and other public security services.
The comparison of solutions used in Poland and Romania led to conclusions that encourage further exploration of issues related to the teaching of psychology, stress management, communication, and other social sciences at police academies.
