Captain Marcin Buchholz, lecturer at the Crime Research Department of the Institute of Criminal Service, Faculty of Security and Legal Sciences at the Police Academy in Szczytno, carried out a mobility under the Erasmus+ international programme from 22 to 26 September 2025 to complete a training placement at the Fortbildungsinstitut der Bayerischen Polizei in Ainring, Bavaria (Germany).

During the visit, Capt. Marcin Buchholz became acquainted with the organization of the institute and its role in the training process of police officers. He was presented with the training offer, which is regularly adapted to the needs of organizational units.

The lecturer was also shown the educational facilities, including simulation rooms used during specialized, multi-level interview courses, as well as rooms designed for conducting procedural activities at the scene of body discovery.

In addition, Capt. Marcin Buchholz participated in courses on juvenile delinquency and combating environmental crime. Part of the latter training took place in the field and included a visit to the Berchtesgaden National Park in Bavaria.

The lecturer’s stay provided a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences and to enhance linguistic and teaching competences in an international environment. For the Police Academy in Szczytno,
it was an important initiative strengthening international cooperation and confirming the Academy’s active role within the European network.
