Meeting on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of higher education at the Police Academy in Szczytno

Ukraina 1

In July 2025, the Police Academy in Szczytno hosted a specialized training on computer forensics for representatives of law enforcement agencies from Ukraine. The coordinator responsible for hosting the foreign delegation on behalf of the Police Academy in Szczytno was Capt. Dr. Paweł Olber – assistant professor at the Institute of Criminal Service, Faculty of Security and Legal Sciences.

On 16-18 June, 2025, representatives of the Police Academy in Szczytno participated in a seminar entitled “Visibility Generates Recognition: Women in Leadership Positions in the Police” organized by the German Police University in Münster.

The event marked another important milestone in the long-standing cooperation between the two institutions, which includes staff exchanges and the implementation of joint educational initiatives for uniformed services.

Nebraska 1

On 21-23 May 2025, the Police Academy in Szczytno hosted Professor Chris Eskridge from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (USA). The purpose of the visit was to continue a longstanding academic and teaching partnership and to deliver a series of lectures to students of the Faculty of Security and Legal Sciences.

Professor Eskridge has been visiting our Academy regularly since 2006. His annual visits have become a significant part of the institution’s academic tradition—he is a figure of great importance to our community, one who has nurtured the idea of knowledge sharing and intercultural exchange for nearly two decades. Thanks to his dedication, our students gain a unique insight into the specifics of the American criminal justice system.

Sodertorn 1

Today, we bid farewell to another group of guests from a foreign partner university. On 14 May, 2025, representatives from Söderntörn University in Stockholm visited the Police Academy in Szczytno – Prof. Mehdi Ghazinour, director of the School of Police Sciences, and Anders Johansson – lecturer on crisis management and conflict prevention.

The Police Academy in Szczytno actively participates in national and international initiatives aimed at increasing public safety, including activities carried out within the structures of the European Union. The ENLETS project serves as a platform for cooperation between services from member states in the exchange of experiences and the implementation of modern technologies supporting the activities of law enforcement agencies.

More than 70 representatives of services and institutions from 19 member states took part in the event. The aim of the meeting was to officially inaugurate the next phase of the ENLETS program, review the previous activities of the various working groups, and define directions for their further development.

On 11 March, 2025, Col. dr Agata Malasińska-Nagórny – the Commandant-Rector of the Police Academy in Szczytno and Col. dr Ruslan Serbyn – the Rector of the National Academy of Internal Affairs in Kyiv concluded a Memorandum on Cooperation in the sphere of educational, scientific, organizational, informational and methodical support for the activities.

Szwajcaria 1

On April 29–30, 2025, the Executive Committee meeting of AEPC (Association of European Police Colleges) took place in Bern.

The Police Academy in Szczytno was represented by the Commandant-Rector, Col. dr. Agata Malasińska-Nagórny, and Ms. Monika Rożek, a representative of the European Integration and International Cooperation Team who actively participated in the development of the new strategy for the organization.

The Police Academy in Szczytno has signed the Cooperation Agreement with the Police Academy of the Czech Republic in Prague. The agreement is an essential step towards strengthening academic relations and developing joint educational and research initiatives in the field of security and public order.
