From 22 September to 3 October 2025, Warrant Officer Class I, Sylwia Woźniak, a graduate of the Criminology programme at the Police Academy in Szczytno, completed a two-week student internship at the Police Academy in Zagreb. The mobility was carried out under the Erasmus+ programme.

During her stay at the Croatian Police Academy, which operates as a specialized training institution subordinate to the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Croatia, our graduate had a unique opportunity to learn about the functioning and responsibilities of the Croatian police.

The internship programme was extensive and included study visits to key Croatian police units, such as the Police Museum, the Service Dog Training Centre and Handlers Unit, the Ivan Vučetić Forensics Centre – established by the creator of the ten-finger fingerprint identification system, the Police Prevention Unit, and the Police Station at the Airport (Pleso Airport).

During the internship, the Warrant Officer Class I, Sylwia Woźniak became acquainted with Croatian weapons, including the VHS K2 assault rifle and the HS-9 pistol. She also took part in polygraph examinations at the Polygraph Research Laboratory of the Forensic Research Centre, as well as in the security operations for a football match between Dinamo Zagreb and Fenerbahçe Istanbul within European cup competitions.

This mobility is an example of effective international cooperation carried out by the Police Academy in Szczytno, which consistently develops international partnerships, giving its students and graduates the opportunity to gain unique professional experience abroad.
