On 24–25 November 2025, the Police Academy in Szczytno hosted a delegation of the Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC) as part of the EU Arms Monitoring project.
The delegation consisted of Prof. Trpe Stojanovski and Aleksandar Srbinovski from North Macedonia, who met with representatives of the Institute of Criminal Service – Capt. Dr Błażej Jewartowski, Head of the Department of Crime Studies, and Mjr. Maciej Sostek, Senior Lecturer.
The discussions focused on the issues of SALW (Small Arms and Light Weapons), including Poland’s firearms policy, illegal arms trafficking, and new modus operandi of criminal groups.
In addition to substantive discussions, the delegation was also given a tour of the Criminal Service Institute's laboratories, presenting the Academy's teaching and research facilities.
It is worth emphasising that the Police Academy in Szczytno was selected as a key centre specialising in security and crime research, confirming its significance in international scientific and expert cooperation.
